Easy chair DAIKI Bright Muchio / Palissander MINOTTI

Born out of Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan’s fascination with Japan and its culture, the Daiki armchair, designed in collaboration with Studio MK27 for Minotti, combines the precision of Japanese aesthetics with the warmth of American Mid-Century Modern design. Its silhouette is based on a curved wooden shell, crafted using exclusive cabinetmaking expertise: two elements joined at a 45° angle create the ideal backrest angle and ensure a highly comfortable seat. Available in matte-lacquered Santos rosewood, Dark Brown-stained Santos rosewood, or Réglisse-lacquered flamed ash, this shell features generous seat and back cushions filled with goose down compartmentalized around a high-resilience polyurethane insert. The finish varies depending on the upholstery: simple topstitching for the fabric version, and light padding combined with topstitching for the leather version; both are fully removable. The Daiki is available in a fixed version, mounted on slender steel legs with a Black-Nickel finish, or in a swivel version, on a 360° rotating metal base with a return mechanism, finished in Bronze or Black Coffee depending on the wood species chosen.
